MTG receives VC investment from QGlobe led by Apollo Green, founding team member of World Star and founding Twitch.tv community builder, Sarah Austin. QGlobe offers a new way for investors to fund NFT, gaming, and metaverse projects before their Initial Game Offering (IGO) at a discount.
QGlobe builds the industry leading Strong Holder Offering (SHO) investment platform to ensure early stage startups have a solid community of initial investors prior to their IGOs. Decentralizing investment leads to a stronger base where every investor is committed to the long term success of the projects, all with energy efficient, self-evolving and updateable smart contracts that set up NFT games for the long run.
More Than Gamers was co-founded by gaming entrepreneur Aaron Kirshenberg and esports manager Nicholas Amos. MTG is a collection of 10,000 generative 3D side profile characters fighting for survival in the Gamers Metaverse. The 10,000 PFP collection was sold out in 30 seconds on Dec. 23 and was among the most popular collections on OpenSea by trade volume in the past weeks. The owners of those NFTs will be granted access to the project’s “MTG Battle Station” game, where they can stake their NFTs for rewards in the form of Arcadia tokens.
Using the funds, MTG aims to gain avatar interoperability between metaverse worlds to access Gamefi and e-commerce experiences. MTG will be supporting cross-metaverse deployment versus a singular metaverse.
“MTG is lowering the friction to a more engaging relationship between gamers and their communities by leveraging modern technologies,” says Apollo Green, CEO and Founder of QGlobe. “By using Blockchain technology, More Than Gamers allows for meaningful experiences — previously not easy to deliver, which can be unlocked with the game’s token and plans for utility in partnership with QGlobe.”
“We are very keen to begin this partnership with QGlobe. The metaverse experience they bring perfectly rounds out our team. We are going to develop one of the most prominent gaming brands in the NFT space and beyond,” says Aaron Kirshenberg CEO and Founder of MTG.
